Ibis Looking

The interesting thing about nature is that, even though it seems to be “Against the Odds“, more often than not it finds a way to adapt to changing surroundings.

The interesting thing about some animals is that we destroy their habitats and then have the audacity to refer to them as pests or undesirables.

This is the same ibis as in these photos.

Despite the urban landscape, the ibis has adapted somewhat-well to continue surviving.

I like it’s shape in this one, as well as how the light and shade has given it’s form a little bit of ambiguity.

I also like that it’s looking off somewhere, almost as though its focus has been taken by something.

This is my photo for The Daily Post‘s photo challenge for this week.

I hope you enjoy.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!

Great photo! And I agree with you. We destroy the house of birds and animals, and then complain that they hinder us. We destroy the population of the species and then recording in the “Red book”. It’s very sad.
