Passing through Beverly Hills

Here’s a photo that I took a few weeks ago when I was on my way to university after doing the first part of my first commissioned photography assignment.

I played around with this image whilst processing and ended up with a bunch of results, the below three being the ones I liked the most.

I like that two of the image look a bit rough and “lo-fi”. It adds something that I can’t quite put my finger on that makes them a little more appealing to me.

Maybe it’s because the images feel a bit faded.

I included the 2nd one as I like it quite a lot. However, I felt the contrast was a bit too strong in parts and I couldn’t quite fix it without changing the result too much.

The last image is my entry into Leanne Cole‘s Monochrome Madness for this week.
I recommend that you check out what other people are submitting and perhaps consider submitting something yourself.
I also recommend checking out Leanne Cole’s other work.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.
