So I just got off the phone with a customer that decided to, during our conversation, advise that creative people aren’t very good with technology.

I’m not sure if it as a joke or not, but as I’ve decided to pointlessly take offense to the statement, I’m going to treat it as though it was not a joke and rather a condescending remark.

There’s an interesting thing about creative people out there and that is that creative people are in almost every single field of occupation, or hobby.

In fact, if it wasn’t for creative people, we probably would not have the technology that we have available right now.

I think that people need to stop making excuses about  why they’re not good with something. I think that they need to stop making statements that are an insult to people who may be good at something that they aren’t.

Sure, we may not see the inherent value in something that we ourselves are not good with, but that does not mean that the people that are good at that thing that we aren’t are worthy of criticism.

Well, there are some exceptions to this, but generally these are fields that everyone would criticize.

I think that if people are willing to bother to learn and understand something, then they’re less likely to be dismissive or insulting toward that thing.

If people are being less dismissive, then they’re also less likely to be fearful of something, although some people do the right thing by understanding that just because they don’t understand something, that doesn’t mean that it’s something to be fearful of.

If more people are understanding and less fearful, then more people  get along instead of trying to imply an air of superiority in order to hide the fact that they lack knowledge in something and would rather dismiss it and insult those invoked in it instead of admit that they don’t know as much as other people.

I think I’ve run out of things to say in regard to this, so I’ll wrap it up here.
