Saccostrea glomerata

On the first day of the marine science field trip I decided to do a minor amount of exploring the immediate area.

On a rock platform I saw many rock oysters.

I was trying to capture the vastness of the area that they captured. I think this photo could have been better, but I am happy with the result.

I like the way that the light of the afternoon sun plays with the colour of the area.

I also like how the rock oysters cover the area, being both cluttered and scattered at the same time.

I hope you enjoy.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
