There’s a good amount of texture in this shot.

A few different ones in the water and the rock platform, as well as the sky.

The smoothness of the clouds does well to contrast with the semi-rough appearance of the sea spray, I think.

I think the clouds also do a lot to help set the mood of the photo. Had they not been there and I don’t think the sea spray would have felt as amazing as it does to me.
