Katoomba Station During a Sunny Afternoon

Sunny, yet cold.

I like how the higher vantage point gives a really good idea of the platform’s length and curvature.

I think that the photo may be a little too bright, but at the same time (in conjunction with no moving elements) it helps to make the area feel more quiet.

That in turn helps to reinforce the idea of the station being part of a small town, which to me makes sense as Katoomba is a small town.

Well, it’s a big town in some ways, but a small town in others.

This is my submission into Leanne Cole‘s photo challenge for last week.

The theme for this one is “Small Town”.

I suggest checking out Leanne’s photography, as well as checking out what other people submit into the challenge.

You can find the challenges here.

I hope you enjoy.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
