A rather small part of it, but still The Western Distributor nonetheless
I feel like this photo is a poor attempt at suggesting, or at least paying homage to Steve Baccon’s homage to Jeffrey Smart, though not through intention.
Perhaps a better way to put it would be that by happenstance this photo feels as though it is of a similar world, though very much of a lesser quality and a different feel.
I do wish the corner feature and footpath it is a part of were not in the shot, but you work with what you have.
I like the soft lighting and the seeming loneliness of the ute. It makes the photo feel softer in a sense, as well as of being a capturing of the morning, which it was.
This is my submission into Leanne Cole‘s TPM photo challenge for this week.
The theme for this challenge is “Empty Streets”.
I suggest checking out Leanne’s photography, as well as checking out what other people submit into the challenge.
You can find the challenges here.
I hope you enjoy.
