Light starts pouring in and of course it must be marvelous, as it is warm and bathing the immediate area within its glow. It can be basked in, but soon there will be the need to step out and head elsewhere, for as much as the light is desirable, it only offers a fleeting reprieve for time is always of the essence and moving forward is what needs to be done. There is only so long in which it can be remained within before the need to move elsewhere happens.
Of course that is all a part of the journey. There is sometimes a need for respite, but the only way to get to wherever it needs to be that one needs to be, then the moving in that direction needs to be adhered to; especially when pressed for time.
As such, whilst it was desirable to stay in the light and remain covered by it for however long it would last, there was a need to step out of it and travel through less well-lit regions in order to go to other places. It’s almost as though it is an underground journey, though really the cloud coverage is just that thick and the afternoon is in a period described as “late”, even though it always arrived precisely when it is meant to arrive.
But yes, there is a need to step out and keep on going. Need to see this the whole way through. As tempting as bathing in light happens to be (especially during a period of grand coldness), there needs to be a push through the uncertainty and the certainty that lies ahead, for that is the only way to keep on going. It is time to keep on moving and keep on looking toward what it is that was set out to be achieved in the first place, which was to reach the destination that lies ahead and not stagnate and remain in light until the light is gone. Besides which, there will be more ahead and there still will be time to stop. The being pressed for time is something that still exists and there is little time to relax and rest, but there still is that time. It needs to be portioned out in as equal amounts as possible so as to make sure that there are enough breaks along the way to sustain the journey and keep it going forward, rather than peter out at the worst possible time and then be stuck, waiting for a change.
Change can come of course, but in some places it won’t and the only way out is by continuing. Better to be rested where possible rather than in just one place and thus increase the risk of having to turn around, or be stuck in some manner.
So of course once out of the light, we continue on and slowly, yet surely make our what to whatever lies ahead as bathing in light wasn’t the destination.

A bit of a mess, this one. Not sure what I was doing or where I was going with it and I’m pretty sure I began to overthink the whole thing.
