A Poem About Trying to Sleep

I feel as though this would have been more effective had I written it during my recent bout of a lack of sleep. Oh well.

I think the flow’s alright.

I hope you enjoy.

One eye closed
The other open
Not sure why
Not both closed

Remain horizontal
Occasionally shift
Try to rest
Thoughts racing

Cover on
Cover off
Discomfort holds
This restless state

Try to relax
In the dead of night
So I can obtain
That which eludes me

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
