I took a few photos of the transmission tower I recently shared a photo of as I was trying to capture it at specific angles. A lot of the photos didn’t work out the way I wanted, but in processing them I found them to be more interesting than if I had gone only for what I wanted. I feel as though they revealed more about the structure, though admittedly that might just be me trying to justify processing them. Maybe.
Anyway, here’s another photo of this particular transmission tower. I feel as though this photo does a decent job of covering part of the structure from underneath whilst also implying a sense of depth.
I like that, as this is not a “flat” photo, the space around the structure skews a bit.
The processing of this photo involved a bit of stuffing around; hence the colouring. Rather than trying to show the transmission tower as the brutal, industrial-appearing thing that it is, I ended up with something that kind of feels dry and “stylishly bleak”.
I hope you enjoy.
