Gore Tech: Part III – Pulse Tundra

One listen for this one and it was kind of odd.
I had a bit of a better idea of what to expect than I did with the prior track but I was still thrown off a bit. Some of the passages were longer than I thought but that’s okay. Realistically it shouldn’t have thrown me off at all and I should’ve just kept going but I allowed myself a little too much time to think and the writing was harmed by that.

Gore Tech’s “Part III – Pulse Tundra” is from Pulse Tundra.

I hope you enjoy.

A low strike and a rumble, and something trails off. With each strike the trails grows in width. It changes form and compresses and vibrates, and then spreads out as a harsh sheet, then dissipates as it slides along. It grows soft, it rises and the striking picks up the pace, but for one moment.

The trailing shrinks more, becoming a thinner vibrating line and something starts to pick up in the background. The beat picks up again and the trailing seemingly becomes more continuous. Seemingly.

Sounds wail in the distance, though muffled and soon a shift takes place. Rumbles grow and eventually percussion stops and all is along a wide blurred floor. Things murmur here and there and various forms try to reach out but cannot. They sit at a distance, seemingly approaching but never getting there. There’s a buzzing of sorts that comes in as loops, and maybe it is a wind blowing against an opening. They seem to disappear but they don’t and they waver in and out, grasping at the edges here and there.

They grow harsh and something more distorted reaches for a moment. They and the low hum is left, but then they reappear, and the low hum rises and shifts, but then it goes back under. Seemingly it rises again and the buzzing picks up. The floor seems to be trying to force its way out and it keeps on sinking beneath, and the sounds continue on, stretching forward, sitting there waiting and stretching further on.

There is a distance, though it is not much, and suddenly everything is cleared away. The space is removed as is the buzzing and now something pounds away, and that distance is still there, but it seems so much less than before. The floor comes here and there but it no longer holds its original form, and the pounding is left with something that seems to be smooth and shiny in a dark space, and those are all that’s left when the song ends.
