2814: 私たちは、ハイパーマーケットをさまよう

One listen for this one.

I didn’t have much of a direction when I started but it was soon where I was trying to capture a sense of the atmosphere of the imagery. I didn’t pull that off but I think I described the song’s flow well.

2814’s “私たちは、ハイパーマーケットをさまよう” is from 2 8 1 4.

I hope you enjoy.

A smooth hum as everything fades into vagueness. Sounds echo and linger at the edges of clarity, and it’s almost as though a memory. All comes close to a sense of illusion; it’s real, but there’s something about it all that moves slow and there’s a detachment. There is a distance in the viewing.

Low wisps as a languid beat plays out and all around an atmosphere that’s airy, seemingly joyful and seemingly unreal. Scene floats about as everything drifts on by in a sense of scenes flipping past, but they are connected.

The beat drops away and sounds float and warble, fade in and out and it’s a slow pause. The atmosphere permeates and a gradual shift in form seems to be there. That low wisp moves across the scene as something rises up, rises up and reaches a point before it seemingly starts lowering. It doesn’t, but it seems that way.

The sounds fill in the space but they still remain at the edges of clarity. The languid beat returns and all continues drifting through and along, and there remains a detachment and maybe a longing. There seems to be a desire for connection to something real, but this space is as real, so perhaps it is a real that cannot be had in this moment. There’s a reaching and a yearning, and the sounds keeping on drifting in gradual cascades, and they float throughout.

Once more the beat drops and there’s a moment where something more clear than everything else seems to appear, and it appears in hums and ringing. Everything seems to clear around it and it too is at a distance, and it too clears and fades, as though leaving, and the song ends.
