We’re already in December.
AHHHHHHHHHH!
When I think about it, this year hasn’t gone by too fast.
I’m quite fine with that.
Christmas is almost here though.
AHHHHHHHHHH!
Gifts.
AHHHHHHHHHH!
Cheer.
AHHHHHHHHHH!
Etc.
AHHHHHHHHHH!
I am not looking forward to gift buying but I will be able to get it done earlier than usual this year.
Although, for the first time in a long time I find myself looking forward to Christmas. I’m going to be spending it with my un-ex and her family and I’m happy about that because they want me to be there. Not that I haven’t felt wanted before; it’s just nice to know.
The festivities at the end of the year can be decried as whatever anyone wants to and for the most part it’s fair.
On the other hand, they can be defended relentlessly as well and for the most part that is fair as well.
I won’t try and defend the festivities but I won’t try and damn them either. I’m going to enjoy them.
A fun fact about Christmas in Australia is that if you don’t wake up sweating like crazy and everything isn’t on fire, it’s not Christmas.
Pardon the tasteless joke.
In other news, the end of the year is almost here.
I’ve got to churn out a lot of writing between now and then. Mostly fictional, stupid stories. I’m aiming for twelve but I think I can do 17.
December is an interesting month. It’s the beginning of Summer in Australia. Sometimes it’s not very hot and sometimes it’s sweltering. It’s also a month that has a lot of people fly into a crazed panic as they attempt to buy everything they can. I’m not too sure why this happens.
It’s the month where I start working harder on whatever it is I’m working on. Well, sometimes I do. Sometimes I feel burned out from the year and rest instead.
Other than writing a lot of stories, I’ll be finishing off all the drum programming for Fe and I, working on my own music, cycling more and procrastinating less. Maybe I’ll be able to get some bush walking in and swimming as well, as I have not done much of either recently.
That’s about all I can muster up for now.
Enjoy your afternoon.
