Looking Out

This is an adaptation of a picture that Ewe took of me back in 2010.
We had known each other for a few months at this point.
We were walking through Balls Head until we reached a rock we always stop at to sit and appreciate surroundings.

Usually we have a serious conversation there as well as we’re fairly intense at times, but I digress.

I thought it would be a good idea to take pictures of us appearing solitary and introspective so we did just that.

I did not own a camera at the time but I did have a camera attachment for a PSP and, as I also owned a PSP, we were using it to take the photos.

Recently I was putting together a portfolio as I’m looking to sell some of my photos as prints.
It’s not something I’m a massive fan of but I’m trying to get a bit of extra cash at the moment so I thought I would give it a go.

Unfortunately that reads as a plug. It is not.

So I went through all the photos I had taken which included the ones I had taken with my PSP.

I came across the photos taken at Balls Head and included them with the portfolio but separate from the main photos.

Last weekend I decided I would try and adapt the one Ewe took of me as I really liked the photo and wanted to see I could do it.

I like the result a lot.
Most of the time I do stupid pictures in MS Paint so I’m rather happy this turned out well.
It doesn’t quite capture the photo the way I thought it would as the details are a bit more vague but it seems to convey the same emotions.

I hope you enjoy.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
