I didn’t know if I was going to put this up or not as I like the photo but I wasn’t sure of the quality of it. By chance I came across a photo challenge so I decided to post this as a submission. “Blur” is the theme and in a way I think this photo captures it in a sense.
I was getting a lift part of the way home after work one afternoon two weeks ago when it began to rain heavily.
I decided to take the opportunity to take a few photos through the front window of the car.
Some of the photos turned out nicely and some didn’t, but I still liked the result on all of them.
This one is a shot of part of St. James’ Church.
It’s not the greatest photo out there but I really like how the wet window blurs everything and makes it look a little vague.
To me, it evokes a sense of being uncertain of what is ahead of you.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

i like that idea of blur.

I’m glad you do.
It wasn’t quite the intended effect but I like how it turned out.

A really simple idea of shooting through rained on glass. I like the opaque view of the city in the background. Really nice.

It seems to make it feel faded in a pleasant way.

Pictures through rain blurred windows are oddly some of my favorite things.

I think that’s pretty cool.
It has a direct way of changing how things are seen and can create many different effects.
