Kings Cross

Kings Cross is a place with a strong reputation for being violent, sleazy and drug-addled.
Some of this reputation is deserved.
I say that as, with many reputations out there, it is a bit exaggerated.

Kings Cross is certainly an intense place.
That’s not something I can deny.

However, it seems to be gradually shedding the reputation it has and becoming a safer place as a result.

I’m not sure as to how I feel about this.
Despite this, I do think it is a good thing.

This is a photo of the main street of Kings Cross.
I took it on Monday morning after making a slight detour on the way to work.

What I like about this photo is it seems to present Kings Cross naked in a sense.
At this hour it’s much more quiet than usual, with people heading to work, getting food or starting their socialising for the day.

There doesn’t seem to be much more happening.

On a side note, I have a history with 5 Burroughs, but that’s a story for another day.

This is my fifteenth entry into Leanne Cole‘s “Monochrome Madness“.
As this was for the first Wednesday of the month, it was themed, with the theme being “K”.

I recommend checking out “Monochrome Madness” and Leanne Cole’s work.
“Monochrome Madness” has a good community feel to it and Leanne Cole is an excellent photographer.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
