Through Branches

Here’s a picture I took after climbing a tree.

I went for a walk last weekend and climbed a tree to get a good vantage point to take photos.

I took pictures of the tree instead of anything beyond it, partly because it would have required more climbing and safety would have dropped significantly for me and partly because I liked the look of the tree.

Being among nature can make me feel “Optimistic” about life.
It’s an intense thing that also seems to have a calming effect as they feel more aware of what is around them than the usual dreariness that cities can provide.

Most of these photos were taken with my phone. The last two were with my camera.
I chose them as, whilst they show the same thing (with some slight differences in positioning), each image shows it differently.

I also like that, looking upon these images, I find them to be relaxing and peaceful, looking through the branches as they form an image over an image.

This is my Submission for The Daily Post‘s weekly photo challenge this week.

I hope you enjoy.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
