Temple in the City

This is the garden temple in the Chinese Garden of Friendship in Darling Harbour in Sydney.

So small, and yet so much bigger than the large, towering buildings that are behind.
This likely has to do with the temple having a fair bit going on with its structure, making it more interesting than the tall, rigid design of most of the other buildings in this photo.

Once more, there is a contrast between the trees and the temple, and the other structures in the photo. To me it feels that there’s a kind of push and pull, with the trees and temple being more pleasant to look upon than the other structures.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
