Another photo of Wei Wang’s Walking, as seen as part of Sculpture by the Sea.
This was taken on my 2nd visit to the exhibition this year.
A few people look at the sculpture and its form.
To be honest, I don’t think this photo would have worked if the light didn’t fall on everything the way it does in this photo.
I like the way that the light makes a few things about the shape and tone rather than the detail, but I also like that it doesn’t remove detail from the photo entirely.
This is my submission into the Lens-Artists Photo Challenge for this week.
The theme for this week is “Magical Light“.
This challenge is hosted by four people and cycles weekly:
Week 1 – Patti of https://pilotfishblog.com/
Week 2 – Ann-Christine aka Leya of https://lagottocattleya.wordpress.com/
Week 3 – Amy of https://shareandconnect.wordpress.com/
Week 4 – Tina of https://travelsandtrifles.wordpress.com/
This week is hosted by Amy and next week’s will be hosted by Tina.
I suggest following and considering participating, but also seeing how other people have responded to the photo challenge from The Daily Post ending.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

Remarkable! I agree the light made a difference. An awesome image!!

Love that you included the people for perspective on this one SH – and love the sculpture as well.

Glad you do, but the people weren’t included for perspective. They were included as I liked the interaction.

I like everything about this image – also the perspective and the people standing in front. And the photographer of course…

Glad you do.
All I did was take the photo.

Oh I agree – the light makes the vibe come alive –
and such a cool figure – sad in a way – Wang was really making some statements – and the three people in the silhouette add a lot (- nice entry for the theme)

Possibly. Hard to know without asking the artist.
