Broken Object

Something seen whilst walking around a forest in The Blue Mountains.

I don’t know what this is, or why it was left behind.
All I know is that it was there and, depending on how you want to read into this, there is a lot of subtext.

I like the way the object’s shards contrast and clash with the natural ground coverage. I also like how much more bright and alien it feels in comparison to the earthier, more natural-appearing colours.

This is my submission into The Lens-Artists Photo Challenge.

The theme this week is “Unique“.

Not sure about the uniqueness of this image considering plenty of people love to treat nature as a dumping ground, but I think this image applies to the challenge.

The challenge is hosted by four people and cycles weekly:

Week 1 – Patti

Week 2 – Ann-Christine aka Leya

Week 3 – Amy

Week 4 – Tina

This week is hosted by Amy and next week’s will be hosted by Tina.

Please check out the challenges and consider submitting and seeing how other people interpret them.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
