Pelican on the River

Behold, a pelican in all its existence floating on a river, navigating the treachery of somewhat-gentle water!

So this photo isn’t so much about the pelican as it is about the “Reflections” on the river’s surface.

Some are clear and some are slightly vague, which I think is interesting.

I think the sky’s colours help with that to some extent.

Maybe the photo is about the pelican. Maybe the pelican is trying to find a way to navigate even though it is keenly aware that the only way around the rubbish trap is to go over rather than around.

This is my submission into Leanne Cole‘s TPM photo challenge for this week.

I suggest checking out Leanne’s photography, as well as checking out what other people submit into the challenge.

You can find the challenges here.

I hope you enjoy.
