Although there is some processing adding to the effect, the sunset in this photo was not as strong as it appears. The shots came through with the colours being rather saturated and I really liked how it affected the mood of the image, so I didn’t de-saturate.
Anyway, here’s a dramatic scene.
Kind of similar to this photo, as well as this photo. More so the latter than the former, but they’re all somewhat-dramatic.
This is my submission into the one hundred-and-twenty-fifth Lens-Artists Photo Challenge.
The theme for this one is “You Pick it!“.
I don’t mind a good sunset and I find the coldness of industry interesting.
I also like the combination of the two and not just for the dramatic imagery.
I think that through the contrast an interestingly bleak and sometimes menacing image can result. Of course something beautiful can result too, but I think here it’s more on the menacing side of things. Maybe.
The challenge is hosted by four people and cycles weekly:
Week 1 – Patti
Week 2 – Ann-Christine aka Leya
Week 3 – Amy
Week 4 – Tina
This week’s challenge is curated by Tina. Next week Patti is curating.
The theme for next week’s challenge has been announced in advance. It is “Subjects That Begin With the Letter A”.
The challenges are pretty fun and there’s a lot of room for interpretation that doesn’t get in the way of enjoyment. If you’re into photography, then I suggest participating, or at the least checking out what other people are submitting.
I hope you enjoy.

I imagine that there is fire. Beautiful shot!

Fair, and thank you.

It’s the saturation that makes the shot SH, good decision.
