I think this could’ve been better had I not allowed myself to be distracted by the use of an overused melodic pattern. Whilst the song is still covered I didn’t want to wander into criticism again.
Akusmi’s “Cogito” is from Fleeting Future.
I hope you enjoy.

A slight swing in the step, almost like a start and stop of a sweeping motion. Drawn out sweep (albeit short), then a few quick brushes of sorts. As it happens more instruments join in. It’s more layering, forming the melody. Soon instruments come in and slightly add more than an expansion to the sounds.
It grows richer and expands and then bass comes in, as does the gentle percussion and it’s as though two different melodies are harmonising with each other. It’s not quite, but it’s like.
A brief pause of sorts and now a familiar melodic line encroaches. It keeps this feeling more fun as everything seems to build whilst some of everything remains steady and as is. It’s a sort of rumbling in preparation for a big release of celebration, but there’s something that’s not quite. It’s slick and cool but the familiar weighs it down. All the fluttering and motion and movement is there but it’s almost lessened.
The release doesn’t happen; rather everything seems to become diminished in a sense and the energy is gone, and it stops and the song ends.
