ConcernedApe: Dreamscape

Five listens for this one.
The song is slightly over a minute long. When I came to the end of the first listen I saw what I wrote and didn’t feel it was enough. There’s not much to the piece but there is a lot that you could say.

I wasn’t trying to say a lot but I was trying to say what I felt was enough and I think I got there, though this is a bit jumbled. Still, I think that I covered the song well enough.

ConcernedApe’s “Dreamscape” is from Stardew Valley’s soundtrack, Stardew Valley OST.

I hope you enjoy.

Low wisps here and there, deepening, low, faint. A strike of percussion and it starts again with an addition that carefully and calmly plays over the wisps. It echoes into the drift and soon something else joins and rings and echoes here and there. This new sound is dulled and careful and quiet, and all of it is soft.

There is a sense of peace to this and also a lack of weirdness, but it’s pleasant enough. It is simple and straightforward and it keeps a sense of space whilst something more like wind, or something akin to the idea of atmosphere stays quite under everything.

Gently the sounds move along and they stay as such. They drift and float, seemingly aimlessly but also focused, and they all suddenly stop in a natural manner at the song’s end.
