Really intense performance.
There were some mistakes but they weren’t enough to detract from the experience.
A good selection of tracks were played.
Towards the end, the band said they would have a quick break before coming back on for a few songs.
Now this is something I respect a lot as it’s the right attitude to have. Instead of pretending the encore is something special, they went off stage and didn’t make everyone wait a while before coming back on stage.
It might have been a minute or two.
Too many bandd do the encore as a routine instead of actually treating it like it’s a special thing and maybe playing songs they wouldn’t normally. They’ll use it as an excuse to split their set list of songs they normally play.
Please stop. Either play the whole thing in one go or say you’re having a quick break. Don’t pretend it’s special.
Sorry. The way the encore is treated pisses me off.
The Mark of Cain handled it brilliantly and it’s disappointing that their method is uncommon (not taking into consideration many other somewhat unknown bands).
Anyway, it was a good gig. I recommend checking them out.
