Peter Garrett would have to be the weirdest performer ever and he managed to get to that point just by being himself.

I mean that in a good way and I do have a lot of respect for him.

There’s a lot of famous people who behave erratically or dress oddly and try to have an element of eccentricity. Either it’s due to drugs or they’ve tried really hard to be perceived a certain way.

Peter Garrett just kind of did it.

Off stage he seems fairly regular. On stage he’s a highly physical performer with a tall and somewhat imposing figure.

He doesn’t dance. He gives rhythm a physical form.
