It was my birthday two Thursdays ago.
As I’ve grown older, I’ve realised that I’m still as full of shit as I was when I was eighteen. However, it would seem that people are more willing to believe it.
Dry humour aside, it was a good day.
With a companion by my side, a veil of smoke was faced triumphantly.
Then the scent of apples became apparent.
After dealing with camels, my companion and I journeyed along a lengthy path until we entered the underground to explore rhythm and hopefully bring it back to a base.
Success was had.
Sounds were experienced.
That is to say that I went for shisha with Fe in the morning (after having coffee and breakfast with Anna). It was apple flavoured.
We also had food.
Then Fe and I headed to Red Eye Records to see what they had.
I purchased Horse Rotorvator on LP by Coil as I’m a bit of a fan of their work, as is Fe.
Fe purchased a split that featured Torturing Nurse and Umpio.
We headed back to my place and listened to Horse Rotorvator and the Torturing Nurse side of the split.
Then we watched a few episodes of Duckman.
On Friday I went to a board game festival and saw Ministry with Godflesh.
I also picked up my camera as it had been cleaned. I’m rather happy there’s no more dirt in it.
On Saturday I went to the board game festival again.
On Sunday I went bowling and then did a bit of exploring with Si.
Last week I began the application process for a passport as I’m going to Japan later in the year with one of my brothers.
I discovered that due to being born after a certain year, I have to provide proof of my citizenship despite being born in Australia.
I imagine the government would already have a record of my citizenship, but I still have to provide proof.
As I don’t speak to either of my parents it’s harder for me.
Oh well. I’ll surmount it.
I enjoyed my birthday a lot this year. It’s not that I haven’t in the past; I usually have a good time.
This one felt really satisfactory though. It wasn’t exactly quiet; not loud either.
I spent it with a few friends and that is what made it good.
