Mistral Point

It’s the far promontory in this shot.

From what I’ve read, it’s a good location for seeing rare birds.

This was taken on the same day as the last one.

I chose to have the long exposure go for longer than I should have as I wanted to see how it would work looking really bright.

I’m fairly satisfied with the result.

I like how strongly the various shades and tones are contrasting with each other, as well as how smooth the water kind of looks.

I think that, in the closer sections, it still looks as though there are waves and I find myself being satisfied with that.

I also like how it shows how these points could be considered as being overdeveloped.

There was very little processing done with this, aside from the monochromatic rendering.

It was mostly minor adjustments to light levels.

This was my sixty-eighth entry into Leanne Cole‘s “Monochrome Madness“.

I recommend checking out her photography, as well as considering submitting to “MM”.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.
