Waking Southbank Offices

On the second morning of my recent trip to Melbourne I went wandering to capture the sunrise. The wander ended up being successful but not for the purpose that I had set myself.

To me this photo feels both quiet and busy.
I think that the stillness of the buildings and the motion of the clouds are the factors leading to the scene feeling quiet, whilst the lights and (minor amounts of) traffic are what lead the scene to feel busy.

I do think that there is a distinct impression of waking up which probably has to do with the colours in the sky.

I hope you enjoy.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
