I guess that I should write some sort of follow-up to the last bit of writing, but… well… that’s exactly what I’m going to do with this bit of writing, so strap yourselves in!
It was a good time. I made a lot of mistakes, but I had a good time. I stopped being nervous about midway through my set. That was a good feeling.
I screamed much harder than I thought I would. It was definitely much different to how I’d been practising, which involved very little screaming. There was more on this set, it was much more intense (in a sense), and so on.
The audience enjoyed my performance, which was good, but I can’t help but feel as though I short-changed them.
If they enjoyed it, that’s good. Some people spoke to me after and told me that the set was, in the words of some, “fucken’ sick!”, but I think it would have been much better if the mistakes I made weren’t so obvious.
Still, I’m glad that the audience enjoyed what I did. I really enjoyed performing, making some stupid jokes… I really enjoyed the experience and I want to do it again, sooner rather than later.
