Today already has been rather long and yet we are only in the early reaches of the afternoon.
I have a few minutes to spare before I through myself back once more into the onslaught, so once more I’m going to try and write as fast as I can. There will be no juicy content. There will be no depth of meaning and there will be nothing that could potentially suggest something deeper. No hidden meaning today. Just the art of trying to mash out as many words as possible in a short amount of time before the starting of the work commences once more, as it always does after periods of reprieve, regardless of how brief they may or may not be.
What am I going on about? I’m talking about the act of writing for the love of writing, which is pretty much why I still write, even though there are plenty of times that I write for other reasons. They just all happen to coexist quite nicely together.
So, where was I? Oh, that’s right. I need to keep on writing, or something.
So today has been rather long and trying and I am sitting here, trying to think of a way to combat the tedium of the insanity of customers, but there is nothing that is making itself apparent and so I must keep on working away at doing the thing so I can keep on doing the thing, or something.
I do know that I need to find a way to get the work of home through the calls so I have less to do when I get home, but that may be more difficult than it seems, it seems.
Maybe it is not as difficult as it seems and I’m merely being dramatic. However, it certainly is a rough day. The calls are fairly constant and unrelenting and the customers are rather… well, I don’t have kind things to say about most of the customers. There were two people who I spoke to today and they were incredibly lovely, but most of the customers have been incredibly unpleasant for no reason. Had one call me a cockhead due to needing to speak to an account holder and put them through to the right team. That was lovely.
But anyway, in a few hours I will be lucky enough to head on home and then work on things that I do enjoy and in less than two weeks I will be finished with university and thus free to go gallivanting around in any way, shape or form I so desire. It will be the most gallivanting I’d have done in a long time and I’m hoping that all of the gallivanting I do leads to some enjoyment and well-earned rest.
Well, there are a lot of things that I want to do and not enough time to do them all if I rest too much. Need to find the balance, but perhaps on another day.
The time it took to write five-hundred words: 06:55:43
Well, that was a bit of a nonsensical ramble.
Not sure where the meaning lies. Perhaps there is some in there. Perhaps there is none.
Written at work.
