A shot of a tree that has had part of it break off.
I have a feeling that it likely broke due to heavy wind stress. Have no idea if that’s the case, but I feel as though it is. The tree didn’t look like had suffered burn or lightning damage, but maybe it was lightning. Don’t know; not a tree expert.
Maybe it broke due to weight imbalance combined with a growing weakness at some point in its body.
I really like the way the branch is angled in this shot. It kind of have this sharp looseness, that I find intriguing as, what with part of the tree being not there, it gives the branch a contorted look.
This is my submission into Leanne Cole‘s “Monochrome Madness” for this week.
I suggest checking out Leanne’s photography, as well as checking out what other people submit.
A lot of what people are submitting will likely end up here.
I hope you enjoy.
