Urban Railway Curve

This was taken in Wollstonecraft.

I think that with this shot, what appeals to me most is the light and shade contrast. The next thing that I find appealing is how everything is situated in relation to each other.

The train tracks are the most prominent thing due to requiring cleared space. The vegetation borders the tracks and add a bit of extra detail. The Sydney Harbour Bridge, few visible buildings and the cars contextualise the tracks as being in an urban location.

There’s something about this image that feels “small”, but I can’t quite work out what it is.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
