Here is another photo of Anderson .Paak (here are the previous shots I’ve shared).
This one differs a bit from the previous shot featuring Anderson .Paak facing his audience. The space is framed differently and the audience is featured a little less, but they’re still there and they’re still visibly within the thrall of the performance.
The shot feels sort of humble in a way, if that makes sense. There’s something a bit more grounded about it than the other Anderson .Paak shots I’ve shared (I think), and it’s not just due to his crouching.
This photo was taken for Culture Eater. You can find a review of Anderson Paak’s performance here and the corresponding gallery here. Please go check them out, as well as the other stuff that our contributors are contributing.
This is my submission into the one hundred-and-eighteenth Lens-Artists Photo Challenge.
The theme for this one is “Communication“.
I’ve included this shot as quite often some form of communication between artist and audience is required for a successful gig. I feel that in this shot you can see Anderson .Paak keeping some form of direct communication going with the audience whilst continuing to sing.
The challenge is hosted by four people and cycles weekly:
Week 1 – Patti
Week 2 – Ann-Christine aka Leya
Week 3 – Amy
Week 4 – Tina
Anne Leueen of Horse Addict is guest-hosting this challenge… or more specifically, her horse, Biasini. Leya is hosting next week’s.
I recommend checking out how people are interpreting the challenges. I also recommend joining in. It’s a growing, fun community.
I hope you enjoy.

an excellent example SH – yes the best performers definitely maintain communication (in many ways) with their audiences

Hello SH Human! Thanks for responding to my communication challenge. I have never been to a concert. But I can understand how important communication would be with the audience. 🐴

It is quite.
Surely there would be a horse equivalent.

Wonderful image, SH. Your perspective and how you placed your subject at the far edge of the image are wonderful.

I think it comes from shooting a lot of landscapes and empty(ish) urban spaces.
