Tarô Iwashiro: A Day Filled By Sunlight

One listen, and a little surprised that I got through this as quickly as I did. Probably could’ve written more over a few plays, but I didn’t and I’m fine with that. I think that, at the very least, I captured the introductory nature of the song well enough.

Tarô Iwashiro’s (岩代 太郎) “A Day Filled By Sunlight” (“햇살 가득한 그날”) is from Memories Of Murder (Music From The Motion Picture Soundtrack), the soundtrack for Memories of Murder (살인의 추억).

I hope you enjoy.

Piano stirs among strings. Fragile, tense, and foreboding. Serious. There’ stress, there’s pressure and there’s an ordinary day, like any other. The sounds are slow, drifting, carrying a moment to where it needs to move, where it needs to go, and they flow on with a complex simplicity, drawing emotion, welling it all up until they stop and the song ends.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
