Cosmic fridge surfs the infinite void of CHEESE

As I was working on the previous picture I stuffed up trying to make a planet or star; I’m not sure as to which.

I decided to run with it and it then became the masterpiece you see before your eyes.

I tried to make it look like the fridge was coming from somewhere off in the distance but I’m not good with perspective.

Sometimes a fridge needs to surf the deliciously infinite void of cheese instead of space.

Deliciously tasty cheese…

It’s possibly a sign that all the overtime I’m doing is beginning to have an effect on me.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

Cosmic fridge surfs the infinite void of space

This was made today.

If anyone is wondering why there is a fridge in space, here is my answer:

In Interstellar, why was the wormhole placed near Saturn?

I hope you enjoy.

More bad poetry

I decided to try and make a poem about how I am feeling currently, due to the amount of overtime I am doing. However, as poetry is still not something I excel in, it’s not very good.

I hope you enjoy.

Leaving in light
Returning in dark
A sunrise is a distant memory

Wheels in the night
Fast and firm
Take me to my cherished cradle

Thoughts run full
They float away with no grip
Only to return when my mind is flooded

Rest is too brief
Sometimes it is too much
Eyes open tired and body runs flat

Oh, how I miss the air
Oh, how I miss the day
Oh, how I miss the sun

Chinamans Beach

I thought I’d also put this photo up tonight.
I took it the day before Australia Day, which was when I went to Chinamans Beach with Ili and his friend.

It is a fairly relaxed beach. You can go out fairly far whilst walking through the water and the surf is minimalistic at best.

I like this photo mainly due to the stark contrast between the clouds and the water.

Well, now I’m going to sleep.

I hope you enjoy.

Fourth life thing for the year

I’ve been doing a lot of overtime at work over the past few weeks. Despite the hours being long, the money will be worth it.

I think my brain decided to give up and let the insanity-inducing tedium take over a few days ago. Thankfully it’s contained to thoughts. I haven’t started running around the office in only my underpants yet.

I thought I’d been at work for a while today when I realised it was ten in the morning. That wasn’t too good.

After I finished work, I engaged in one of my favourite activities: Cycling in the dark.

I don’t have bike lights and I’m not sure where my high-visibility vest is at the moment so I had to stick to footpaths.

Somehow I was able to get home in 30 minutes and 15 seconds. I’m pretty happy with that.

I’ve been helping Ili with a project he’s working on. It’s fun and enjoyable.

I was in Katoomba on the weekend with Ewe. We worked on repairing a pond in his mum’s backyard.

We also did a bit of bush walking.
I took some decent photos. However, a lot were ruined by there being dust in the camera.

Oh well.

I don’t really have anything interesting tonight. I’m feeling rather fried.

Well, tomorrow is another day.

Just before I crash, I thought I’d mention that the temporary url for this post ended in 666. I thought it was cool.

Anyway, time for dreaming!

Currawong

This is another photo I took when my camera was still fairly new.
It was taken on the same day as the previous one I uploaded.
After taking the photo, I applied one of the camera effects to it to see how it would turn out.
I liked the result.

The currawong is interesting. It is seen in many places and can be easily confused for other birds.

They seem to be quite intelligent, curious and (from experience) are seldom territorial.

This was taken slightly before it flew off (based on photos taken after).

I like how it is sitting in the tree as well; not quite hidden but also not quite visible.

I hope you enjoy.

A story about an Email

Here’s a short story written about an email.

I believe it was in response to someone at work not receiving one that someone sent.

No one would ever dare accuse me of having written a masterpiece with this, but I think it’s interesting enough to share.

I hope you all enjoy it.

—–

Well…

The email was on its way, moving quite humbly, when it decided to break into tune. However, it managed to overstep its mark as it was far too occupied with it’s song and journeyed to far into the depths of the great unknown known only as the internet. The email felt lost and confused. However, it had the resolve and conviction to make it to its current ultimate destination.

The journey was fraught with danger, but not much actually.

Although, with that being said, it had to bypass a flying rotational JPEG and a literal Trojan horse in data form as they were locked in a lengthy debate about iron and it’s every day practicalities.

There was also another point in the journey, where the email fell through Youtube and gained the knowledge of everything. However, due to the email’s maximum capacity of 10 megs, this almost destroyed it. However, it was lucky enough to remove all of the information with a quick undoing and thus its journey resumed.

After a long and largely uneventful journey, the email had finally reached the destination folder that was intended for it originally. It began to rejoice and started walking towards the entrance when a space wolf named Bernard, locked in a battle with a cosmos axolotl unexpectedly warped from space into the internet and managed to knock the email into the incorrect folder.

Bathroom Panic or Auto Toilet Incident

I was going through some of the things I had written a while ago when I came across this retelling of an event from 2010.

Some would consider it uncouth or lacking in taste.

However, I’ve decided to share it as I feel it is humorous.

Aside from removing a sentence that didn’t quite work and replaced it with the name of a location, this is unedited.

I hope you enjoy.

I love toilets. They’re great. Really supportive of the packages you drop off into their waters.

I haven’t always had a good experience though.

A few weeks back, I’m walking towards Balls Head. On the way to there, there’s a fairly decent sized park with one of those toilets with the automatic doors that seemed to start showing up all over the place around 2005.

I needed to use it, so in I go. A voice comes over when the door shuts and tells me that I’ve got ten minutes. Okay. That should be more than enough time.

I sit down on toilet and then some piano music starts playing. It was a tune that I know I’ve heard many a time, but can’t remember where. Oh well.

So, whilst I’m sitting down unleashing my waste, I notice that my pee is going onto the floor. Not from over the seat though, but between it and the bowl.

The seat had a few of these large bump things on the underside of it that left a gap between it and the bowl. A big enough gap to pee through unintentionally.

So I have to slow my flow. Alright.

Anyway, I’m sitting there, when I hear the voice say that the internal scanners couldn’t sense motion and for me to move around if I was still in there, or the door would unlock. So I wave my arms. Nothing happens. I move my legs. Nothing happens. I wave my arms and move my legs. Nothing happens. Okay then. I get off the toilet, with my pants and boxers around my ankles and hop around for 20 seconds before the sensors detect me. Then the voice thanks me and tells me my time has been extended.

I go back to the toilet and finish off, start wiping myself slowly as the toilet paper was button press and didn’t really come out quickly. Then the voice tells me it can’t detect me again. So off I am, hopping around again for a bit longer this time before they detect me again.

I finish off, wash my hands and leave as quickly as possible. I felt as though something had been taken from me. I don’t know what, I just know.

City of Sydney Viewed from Waverton Oval

Well, you can’t see much of the city but it’s still a nice view.

This was one of the first few photos I took with my camera.
I took it back in 2011.

Ewe, one of our friends and I used to go to Waverton Oval a lot to play cricket or kick around a rugby ball.

Ewe and I also walked through the oval a lot when we’d walk from work to Balls Head as it was on the way to where he was living at the time as well as North Sydney station.

Those times are remembered fairly fondly. We did get quite loose around then but we also did a lot of growing and self-discovery.

I like how calm the water is in this photo and how the clouds are lightly tinted by a sunset that isn’t visible in the photo.

I also like how the top Centrepoint Tower can be seen as it appears to be peeking over one of the buildings.

Overall, I feel this photo is quite relaxed.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

Saturday Morning Bicker

Ewe wanted me to write about this and I’m not sure why. There’s not much I can say about the following, but a challenge is a challenge I guess.

The following events are 100% true.

Before Ewe and I went to Bondi Beach on the Saturday before Australia Day, Ewe had trouble picking a shirt to wear. I wasn’t sure as to why he was so indecisive as it was a hot day and wouldn’t matter in the end as we were going to be swimming.

I said to him “It’s not going to matter if you look good. We’re going to be in the water any way”.

He responded with “I want to be comfortable”.

Anna suggested he try a shirt on a friend bought him, but it had a tear in it so Ewe kept on searching.

Eventually I said “It’s not going to matter as you’ll be soaked in sweat soon enough anyway” as it was quite hot outside.

He ignored it.

Anna kept suggesting shirts and Ewe kept on giving reasons as to why he didn’t want to wear them. I kept telling him to pick a shirt so we could go, but he would ignore it.

After a while I became unable to contain my growing frustration and yelled “JUST PICK A GODDAMN SHIRT!”.

He replied with “I want… a shirt… THAT BREATHES!”.

At this point I stormed out and started flipping over wheelie bins whilst yelling incoherently and kicking various objects as I couldn’t handle how ridiculously slow the process of Ewe finding a shirt was.

Eventually I calmed down as Ewe finally found a shirt that breathed. It was heaving heavily on him for a while, sucking in air as though it had been buried under piles of clothes and dust far longer than it should have been, but at least it was breathing.

Then we began our quest for waves and sand via purchasing a beach umbrella.

Unfortunately we were unable to acquire one, but we did manage to take well over an hour to get to Bondi.
