Gymea Lily

This was taken during one of the walks around the area I did recently.

I took a picture of this as, whilst I have gone past it many times, I hadn’t noticed it being where it was.

I imagine that had I, I would have seen it in a far more glorious state, although it is still quite beautiful.

I like how there’s a plant growing around it and that it’s supporting the growth of the other plant.

The other plant might be a white moth vine, but I’m not entirely sure.

I think it makes the image look a lot less lifeless without taking away from the beauty of the gymea lily.

I also think that it’s a good representation of nature’s resilience, as this is next to where Victoria Road connects to the Western Distributor Freeway.

For Leanne Cole‘s “Monochrome Madness“, this was my fortieth submission.
I recommend going to her blog and checking out her stuff.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
