Here’s a photo I took whilst on 厳島.
This was whilst I was walking to the Natural Botanic Garden (or possibly through it at this point, as a few months ago I found out that I was looking for it whilst in it as it starts on the road I was walking along and I didn’t realise this).
How do I describe what I like about this photo, beyond its monochromacity (is that a word? Would “monochomism” be better?).
I like that this being in monochrome brings out some of the details.
I like that it’s quiet and in some ways, relaxing.
I guess I find it powerful and moving.
I really don’t know.
It gives similar (or the same; I don’t know) feelings that I have difficulty describing when I look out to the ocean.
I also like the boat sitting there.
This is my fifty-first submission for Leanne Cole‘s Monochrome Madness.
I hope you enjoy.
