Here’s a few photos I took on Tuesday in the evening.
I headed out to the start of Anzac Bridge to take photos for the “City” theme of Leanne Cole‘s Monochrome Madness (also being my fifty-fourth submission into something that I recommend checking out and also participating in if it tickles your fancy).
It was also to work on getting better at taking long exposure shots.
Well, I guess it goes without saying that I like these shots.
If that is the case, why am I saying it?
Anyway, I like how the lights bend and curve and contrast with the night.
I like how half of these look really busy and the other two don’t.
I like that they’re slightly closer to being suggestive than descriptive.
You get the idea.
I started off taking pictures with Anzac Bridge in the shot, but I ended up feeling that most of the results could have been better, so I ended up taking shots of the traffic before the bridge.
Towards the end, I decided that, despite my small amount of experience with taking long exposures, I’d start trying to experiment by using shorter exposure times.
At this point, I think that stating (or suggesting) that the traffic is heading to the city rather than showing it outright makes for a better image in this case.
The last photo is the one I submitted into MM.
I hope you enjoy.
