Just Before Sunrise

This shot was taken on the first morning of the field trip.

I heard about a spot where you could see the ocean near where we were staying so I headed out to try and find it, but I didn’t get the whole way as part of the track was submerged and it was too dark to make my way around.

I set up at this spot and took a few photos instead. Whilst first light was happening, everything around me was still quite dark.

I didn’t quite see the sunrise, but I’m happy with the result.

I think that this photo is quite calm and low-key, but at the same time it feels like there’s a fair bit happening without feeling cluttered.

I hope you enjoy.
