A Plant Sits in View

I’ve been trying to work out what plant this is, but I’ve not had luck.

I think it is a rather beautiful one, striking in its colour and form.

I like that in the background Brisbane is out of focus, yet still recognisable as a city.

  Yeah, but I think it only works in this shot because it is in the background and not the focus of the shot.
