Vanellus miles

Here is a photo of a masked lapwing at Huskisson.

I followed it for a few minutes, hoping that I would be able to get a shot of it taking off.
The lapwing would look at me like I was an asshole, which is fair enough.

I like the form of the bird in this photo, as well as how the mask sits on its face.

Birds are usually very graceful and powerful creatures.
