Blacksmith in Training

On the first day of Easter I was at Carriageworks to see some blacksmiths do some metalwork.

In these photos, I like the form of the person as they are about to bring the hammer down. It is not for a hard strike, but there’s still a somewhat-powerful motion occurring.

There also seems to be a deal of concentration and focus which is probably developing as the craft is being learned.

I hope you enjoy.

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!

Truly a manly, old-fashioned, I-can-survive-in-the-dark-ages type of job! Shoutout to you, man!

    • Shout out to me taking a photo?

A common misconception regarding dark ages of history is that they were horrible times, but dark ages are known as such due to how little we know about them due to a significant lack of primary historical sources.
