The Past Two Days

Over the past two days I spent a fair bit of time on the road.

That is to say that there was a lot of driving as Fe and I went around part of NSW and did a little bit of exploring, as it were.

We went high and we went low. We saw things that we hadn’t seen before. We also saw some things that I had seen previously, but not in as relaxed a capacity as the past two days.

There was a lot of driving, but I think that I have already mentioned that, so I will try to avoid mentioning it once more.

It was interesting to see how similar and different various areas were.

Some gorgeous lookouts.

And so on.

I guess that the biggest thing about the trek was the sense of journey. It was a small one, but it was a journey nonetheless. We really got to see some interesting things and we got to do some exploration that lead to seeing more interesting things.

No swimming, sadly.

Getting to explore and get away from Sydney was just a much-needed thing, I think.

Accommodation in a local pub.
Checking out some blowholes.

Rock islands, rock formations, escarpments, traveling above water near a cliff by foot…

No real sense of “getting away from it all” as there were quite a number of towns we traversed through, but not feeling of desire to “get away from it all”.

Just a desire to explore. It spurned us onward and even though we didn’t get to see as much as I initially hoped we would, what we saw was worth the time we invested.

Oh. Petting a bull.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
