A View from Sugarloaf Point

This was taken earlier in the year during what was hopefully the last time I spend time at Smith Lake for a field trip.

Now that I think about, it was a pretty decent field trip, but I digress.

Here is what I think is a rather beautiful view only slightly hampered by the cargo ship in the distance.

I think that this shot has a good colour balance.

I like that the rock formation seems to trail off, and I also like how it creates a contrast with the open expanse of ocean.

This is my submission into The Lens-Artists Photo Challenge.

The theme this week is “Seascapes and/or Lakeshore“.

The challenge is hosted by four people and cycles weekly:

Week 1 – Patti

Week 2 – Ann-Christine aka Leya

Week 3 – Amy

Week 4 – Tina

This week is hosted by Amy and next week’s will be hosted by Tina.

I recommend checking out the challenge to see how people interpret each theme.
I also recommend giving it a go.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!

Ditto! Nice shot, and the rocks lead off to… the ship.
