Bare Island in Monochrome

I recently found myself in La Perouse for the first time in a while due to the need to participate in a field trip. I arrived early so I took a number of photos.

I feel as though this one is much better than the one I shared last year.

The light is better balanced and the island feels larger and more present, I think.

This is my submission into Leanne Cole‘s photo challenge for this week.

The theme for this one is “Iconic”.

Bare Island isn’t as iconic as The Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Sydney Opera House, or the Centrepoint tower, but it does hold some historical significance for Sydney.

I suggest checking out Leanne’s photography, as well as checking out what other people submit into the challenge.

You can find the challenges here.

I hope you enjoy.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
