The Book Kitchen

I don’t know the history of this business.

As far as I’m aware (bear in mind that this is based of a rather quick glance), it was a beloved business that ended up having to close down.

This is another shot I took whilst walking walking to Central from The Hordern Pavillion.

Unfortunately I didn’t have my tripod so I wasn’t able to shoot as slow as I desired. However, I probably could’ve made the photo a bit brighter.

In any case, I think that the photo feels somewhat like it was taken in a contained space, rather than creating a contained space.

I like the simplicity of the scene. There’s just enough detail, but everything is rather basic and distinct.

I also think that there are a few elements coming together that make the scene (and by extension, the building) feel quiet.

I hope you enjoy.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
