Taken recently whilst at The Royal National Park.
After I took this shot and looked at it I didn’t think I’d use it for anything. Ended up processing it as it looked more promising on my computer than it did on my camera.
The sunlight is by far the most prominent thing in this image as it influences how everything else looks. Shadows are hardened, the image feels warm and the shape rather than the detail gets a bit more focus.
The whole image feels warm and relaxed. It also feels quite still.
This is my submission into the one hundred-and-first Lens-Artists Photo Challenge.
The theme for this one is “A Quiet Moment“.
The reason as to why I think this image fits is due to the sense of stillness it holds.
The challenge is hosted by four people and cycles weekly:
Week 1 – Patti
Week 2 – Ann-Christine aka Leya
Week 3 – Amy
Week 4 – Tina
This one is hosted by Patti. Next week’s host is Leya.
Come on in and join the challenges. They’re fun to interpret and there’s a nice community developing around them.
I hope you enjoy.

I love the light on the cliffs and rocks, SH. Beautiful, tranquil.

It was rather, thought I think next time I might take the shot a little less early in the morning just to see how much of an effect the sun has on that tranquility.

It would be interesting to compare the light at different times of the day.
