Alright, so here we are once more. We’re standing where we always stand and looking to follow through with some sort of dance. Is it a dance of weapons or just a regular dance? Does it need to mean anything? To be honest, it is not something that I know. Nor is it something that I care to know. I’m only here to dance, though there may be occasional standing.
This whole thing is ultimately pointless, but old scores need to be settled somehow and where else other than one of the most remote places, high above valleys? Where else other than on the top of a mountain that just so happens to conveniently feature its peak being relatively flat and wide open? There is enough room to move about, so moving about is definitely something that is going to be featured.
It is here where the power and grace of movement will be displayed;. The control over one’s own body and actions will come forth. Expression far extending from that of mere flesh and bone will permeate this small area of which we have chosen to perform against each other in order to truly see who is the most deserving of walking away and continuing onward toward a determined and successful future.
Of course there is going to be the requirement to not always dance against each other, but within harmony of each other, for there is no real testing of our abilities if we do not occasionally harmonise. It is good that we know that in this dramatic setting we know each other’s motion and movement quite well. It is also good that what once started as something friendly turned into this great rivalry of opposing views and practises. It is a shame that this all somehow represents some form of evil versus good as it is far beyond that, though that ultimately is something that will need to be addressed at some point in the future when we are actually within the act of facing off against each other, but right now it is only something worth mentioning and little else, though to be fair it wasn’t really worth mentioning, but I digress.
Standing in silence, facing each other, expressing respect without uttering a word… it has come so far and gone through all the motions, but our story is now here and this is ultimately where it will likely conclude. The setting is right for it, despite how needlessly dramatic it may be. That we are both here and yet to show signs of fatigue are a testament to our level of determination and fitness. However, now is the time when we must stop thinking and start doing.
Anything beyond these words that are floating on through are – for our period of engaging in the art of dance to determine who walks away – now considered something that no longer is considered required. Now is the time for us to face each other.
It’s time to begin.
The time it took to write five-hundred words: 08:32:26
This came out of nowhere. I was going to write about writing again, but instead this came forward. It’s silly and I’m happy with the result. Feels like procrastination but in a way that I don’t necessarily mind. Could be much smoother, but not the roughest thing I’ve written.
Written at home.
