A Poem About Three Sounds

I knocked most of this out rather quickly as it was quiet at work.
Got busy before I could finish it off.
Now that work has finished for the day, so has the poem.

Nothing great. I’m not sure if I was going for meaning of imagery.

I hope you enjoy.

Three layers of sound
Outside, inside and closer
Not all continuous
Though their presence remains

Outside it is violent
Inside it is variable
Closer it is unpredictable
Though often it is unpleasant

Of these only one mostly can be altered
Due to available choice
And only one
Is highly undesirable

Outside may be violent
However it is of nature
It does not destroy
And continues blowing past

Inside it is continuous
Shifting every few minutes
Though remaining moving
Through artistry of expression

Closer it unevenly shifts
Through voices that often condemn
When their demands are not met
And so they stretch time’s length.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
